Prepare to elevate your favorite units with the introduction of Veteran Unit Levels! These bonus levels, ranging from 11 to 15, unlock unique visual effects along with a very minor power increase. Unlike Elite Units that offer significant power advantages, Veteran Levels do not offer significant power advantages.
While not intended to provide a major strategic advantage in PvP, the main appeal lies in the brand new visual flair each unit gains, making them a must-have for collectors and those seeking that extra level of distinction.
What are the new Veteran Unit Levels?
Veteran Unit Levels are additional bonus levels which will appear on units after their initial release. These five additional levels will appear as a standardized level 11 - 15 on each new unit. Each of these levels grant additional base unit stats, with the final level granting a unique Veteran visual effect for that unit.
How / when will Veteran Unit Levels be released?
The bonus Veteran Unit Levels will appear in the update after the unit was originally released. This means that you will typically see a unit’s veteran levels one month after that unit was released.
How are they different from Elite Units?
Elite units have historically been very large upgrades to units, adding new equipment and unit functionality, and have appeared much later in the life cycle of a unit (anywhere from 6 months to over a year after the unit’s initial release).
A Unit’s Veteran Levels give a 10% Health and Damage Buff across 5 levels, with each level granting a 2% buff to each. No additional equipment or weaponry / large shifts to unit functionality are planned for Veteran Unit Levels. As stated before, you will typically see these levels released 1 month after the unit originally released, rather than many months in the future.
Do I need Veteran Unit Levels to advance in the metagame?
No. All progression content is tied to the original 10 levels of a unit; you will never be required to have a Unit’s Veteran Levels to progress in the game or otherwise accomplish events.
